endoscopic brow lift?
Before the operation
If you treat your hair in any way such as tinting, bleaching, using a colour or a perm; then we advise that you do so no later than 1 week prior to surgery.
You will then be advised on how long to wait before you can resume your usual hair treatments but it is usually at least 6 weeks.
The Operation
This operation is carried out under general anaesthetic and in some cases can be performed as a day case .
There is no need to shave any hair away with an endoscopic brow lift as the hair is simply pulled back away from the area where the incisions will be made.
The endoscope is inserted through four very short incisions into the scalp so that the muscles and nerves can be seen beneath the skin with the camera.
Once the forehead tissues and brow have been loosened from the underlying bone they are secured in the new position with stitches. The forehead incisions are closed with staples and a head dressing applied for 24 hours.
