endoscopic brow
lift?
What is an endoscopic brow
lift?
Both a brow and forehead lift smoothes out the area above the eyes by repositioning the
muscles and tissues that cause furrowing or drooping.
An endoscopic brow lift is the modern technique that we use because it dramatically
reduces scarring as only tiny incisions are used compared to the traditional method
of a coronal incision which extended between both ears. Instead, four incisions of 1-2 cm
in length are made in the hairline. A camera is used with the endoscope providing excellent
vision so the nerves of the forehead can be seen and avoided thus minimising any nerve damage.
The procedure can be extended to the temporal or cheek area to improve any sagginess that is
present in these areas.
Aims of Surgery
To raise a low lying brow to give a more youthful appearance.
To smooth out frown lines by repositioning the forehead tissue and muscles that cause frowning.
