dermal fillers
What are dermal fillers?
What is it?
Collagen cells provide structural support for the skin whilst giving it shape.
As skin gets older, wrinkles and folds can begin to appear because these cells
have reduced in number. A dermal filler can be injected into the skin to replace
those collagen cells and to restore suppleness and shape
to the face.
There are many types of dermal fillers but Facial Aesthetics mostly uses Restylane
which is the worldÕs most popular product that is founded on hyaluronic acid. The
body naturally has hyaluronic acid that allows skin to look youthful. Restylane is
a form of hyaluronic acid gel that essentially replenishes what naturally would be
there.
Some other hyaluronic acid-based products are extracted from animals, Restylane is not.
Therefore, there is no risk of transmitting disease or
generating an allergic reaction.
Restylane can improve lines and wrinkles around the eyeÕs, nose, mouth and forehead.
This can be extended to facial contouring when the problem of cheek or chin dimples
occurs and it can also help to reduce deep nasolabial folds. It can enhance the lips
by giving them a fuller appearance and reduce the problem
of lipstick bleeding.
