botox
What is botox?
Through time, continual movement of the muscles within the face wear away collagen in
the skin that once kept it smooth and full. Botox is a non-surgical procedure that simply
relaxes particular muscles to either prevent wrinkles occurring or to smooth out specific
lines. This treatment is particularly popular because of the dramatic results without the
use of surgery.
Botox can be used with other rejuvenation treatments such
as dermal fillers.
Limitations.
Botox is most effective for frown lines, crows feet (smile lines) and forehead lines.
The treatment can last from 3-6 months depending on the particular individual. With
repeated treatments, the effects can last longer.
Botox should not be used by:
- Pregnant women.
- Patients taking anticoagulantÕs or aspirin.
- Patients with neuromuscular disorders.
