blepharoplasty
The Operation
Upper eyelid surgery can be carried out under local or general anaesthesia
Combined upper and lower lid surgery is usually carried out under general anaesthetic
Cuts are placed in the skin crease of the upper lid and just below the eyelashes on the lower lid.
Skin and fat excess is carefully reduced to restore the eye to its natural more youthful shape.
Occasionally some tightening of the lower eyelid is carried out to prevent drooping.
